You can start the pot of grits and scroll social before the kids get home, wipe down the counters from breakfast or simply enjoy an extra snuggle with your favorite tiny human.
Here’s how to do it.
1 Cup Gruff Ancient Grain Grits
1 1/4 Cup Water
Pinch of Salt
Pat of Butter
Bring water to a boil. Stir in Gruff Ancient Grain Grits, cover and set heat to LOW. Start a 12 minutes timer. At 6 minutes, remove lid and stir. Replace the lid and let simmer on LOW for the remainder of the time. Remove from heat and add butter.
While this is ready to eat as is, we recommend letting it rest covered for a couple more minutes for best results. Add a pinch of salt and a pat of butter for a simple snack or get elaborate with one of our Gruff recipes fit for any gritogether.
