Gruff Grits Original Porridge

4-6 Servings




  • 2 cups of Gruff Ancient Grain Grits

  • 4 1/2 cups of water

  • 4 Tbsp grass fed butter or coconut oil

  • 1 pint fresh or frozen raspberries

  • pure maple syrup or honey to taste

  • cinnamon

  • organic cream, half and half or nut mylk


Step 1

Bring water to a boil. Add grits and reduce heat to low. At 6 minutes stir then replace lid. Cook on low for 6 more minutes and set aside.

Step 2

While the grits are finished and resting for a few minutes, set out bowls and the topping ingredients. To serve, place the grits in bowl, and let your partakers garnish with butter or coconut oil, sweetener, cinnamon, raspberries and top with choice of milk. Enjoy!

*additional garnish options could also include:Chopped nuts, any variety of berry, bananas, apples, peaches, craisins, raisins, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, hemp seeds
